Finding Your Gifts & Talents

One of the biggest mistakes we make in life is to not believe in ourselves.  We tend to listen to outside influences from people that have no idea who we are.  Or even worse, we listen to the "bad-guy" voice that creeps up on us like a thief in the night which tells us "we can't do this and we can't do that."

There is nothing further from the truth.  How do you prevail then in this battle with outside influences and fighting and winning the battle of that negative inner voice?

Well, you will win this battle filling your 'room' with light.  Have you ever gone into a room that was dark and couldn't wait to turn on the light switch so you could see?  Similarly by filling your mind with positive, joyful, vibrant thoughts of good, you can and will triumph over these destructive, negative thoughts (By the way lots more of this when we do a deep-dive into a big part of our Triumphlife Workshop later).

To combat these forces against success and a positive, energetic life, what is important is to repeat over and over: "You are a masterpiece from above. You are God's workmanship."  Hold your head high, shoulders back and be proud of who you are.

Dwell on these thoughts:

  • "I am unique and one of of a kind,"

  • "I am God's very special masterpiece."

  • "I have special talents and abilities."

How to I know these truths?  The answer is I hold on to a foundation that is my life, my world-the Bible.   It is my go to; my source; my lifeblood.

Fix your thoughts whatever is true, good and right.  Think about things that are pure and lovely and dwell on the fine, good things in others.  Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about (Philippians 4:8).

The reason we talked about the importance of thinking good thoughts is to enable your mind to open up the vision and the mission (purpose) God has for you on this earth.  You can't accept those gifts and talents if you are losing the war about what others say to you and remember especially the 'mean-guy' voice which will cloud your mind with the wrong thoughts.

The Apostle Paul was speaking to the Ephesians said, Christ gives to each of us "special abilities what he wants us to have out of his rich storehouse of gifts."   (Ephesians 4:7; Hebrews 2:4)

This is vital to lead and live a 'triumphant life.'  To know that your mission now is to find your gifts and talents which are given to you from above.
